*UPDATE* DAVIDIC DANCE TERMINOLOGY VIDEO ADDED
With more Messianics / Christians getting into Hebraic/Davidic Dance than ever before, people are curious as to what are the names and terminology of some of the steps that are done in this dance genre. Well, New Heights is about to answer their curiosity. I have here a copy of two documents that I think will come in handy for the people into Worship Dance. The first is “Dance Step Terminology” which defines the step names and movements for every move in a congregational circle. The second document is “Dance Hand Motions”, which puts on paper the prelude of motion done by the congregational dance leader before a dance move is performed. Terminology of Dance Steps
Dance Hand Motions
Right Turn: Right Circle Motion w/ Right Hand
Left Turn: Left Circle Motion w/ Left Hand
Move Right: R Point w/ right hand,
Move Left/Mayim: L Point w/ left hand,
Open Mayim: Half Circle w/ Right Hand starting on right hip
Box Step: Half Circle w/ Right hand starting on left hip
Pivot In, Out, TZCH: Hand across body, Upper Circle,
Right Yeminite: Point down w/ Right hand
Left Yeminite: Point down w/ Left Hand
Move Forward: Point to the center of the circle.
Move Back/ Back TZCH: Point back w/ thumb,
Turn Outside: Point to outside of circle, do step (ex. sbs, turn)
Cha-Cha-Cha: Turn body CCW and point to right of circle
